nanoPASS Partner's Study in Nature Nanotechnology: A Leap in Nanomaterial Safety

10 April 2024

The nanoPASS consortium celebrates the publication of "Acute, controlled inhalation of thin graphene oxide nanosheets in humans with null cardiorespiratory effects" by  Ulla Vogel of NRCWE in Nature Nanotechnology. This pioneering study investigates the safety of inhaling graphene oxide nanosheets, offering promising results for their safe application.

Conducted with healthy volunteers, the study reveals no significant cardiorespiratory effects from acute exposure to these nanomaterials, marking a significant step forward in understanding their safety profile. The research, a testament to the nanoPASS project's commitment to nanosafety, underscores the value of international collaboration in this field.
